The First Outing

We will schedule a new scout orientation camping experience in early spring, probably in March. This outing will be for boys to become comfortable with their gear, how the troop functions on outings and get to know the other guys in their patrol. Parents do not have to come. Parents are always welcome at outings; however, it may be advantageous for the parent to not come to the first campout. The second campout is usually the spring camporee late in April. This new scout campout is new to 2003.
